Model is GE PRO-HTProblem
I have aperfectly normal working pc,i wanted to add
more memory to it,and stupudily i added sd ram to the
ddr ram thatn was already in there. So when starting up
the pc,the pc only recognised the sd ram,and not the
ddr ram,i took out the sd ram and put the ddr ram back
in,did not work, put back the sd ram it works.Went on
the net to get help, someone gave me these steps.Take
out sd ram after switching off the pc.Switch the pc
on,and then back off, then put in the ddr ram, switch
back on,does not work, switch off put back sd ram,oh my
god now that does not work.So now my pc makes 3 beeps
at a time. What can i do to make the pc work again? I
have took out the battery, and jumpers some told me to
do,but all i am getting is beeps.I have also reset thecmos by touching the 2 metals with a hairpin. Is there any order i should be doing this, becasue an it guy told me to take out the sd ram and switch the pc on blank,at least that worked, now nothing works.

3 beeps is video card loose or missinghttp://www.pcmech.com/show/troubleshoot/14/
even trying to get the sd ram in the slot of a ddr ram needs force to get in surely either something shorted on motherboard or the slots r broken best take it to place where u bought it for proper service
First off you DO NOT FORCE RAM INTO SLOTS.Like it was previously stated. You will not only damage the stick of ram but you can damage the motherboard. Try sticking the Sdram in the other slot for that memory. See if that works, if not, try the ddr in the other ddr slot. If that still don’t work refer to the BIOS. If you go to the manufacturer of that motherboard they will have a BIOS update where you can flash the BIOS but be careful because if you use the wrong update you can damage the motherboard.
I have talked with my brother who has 16 years experience in the field. Since i only have 1 ha ha. He asked when you say nothing is working, and beyond the beeps do you get anything on the monitor? Such as an option to make changes to the CMOS.
First of all get rid of the DDR ram! if you computer uses SDRAM then it is more than likely the DDR ram will NEVER work. They are two entirely different technologies. You are lucky your machine even boots after what you have done. I am surprised you got the DDR ram to even fit into an SDRAM slot correctly. At any rate, there are some computers which do support both SDRAM and DDR ram but not at the same time and the slots for each are different. If your memory is seated correctly the little clips one both sides should be hooked into the memory sticks. If you cannot get both sides to hook in at the same time then you are doing something wrong. Either the memory is in backwards, or you have the wrong memory as I mentioned.
